STEAMER RIMU BUFFETED

The Northern Company’s .steamer Rimu, while on a voyage from Onchunga to Kawhia, after crossing (lie Maiuik.au bar, encountered terrific seas, which submerged her repeatedly. The deck cargo was washed away and considerable damage done, in the forward hold. When she reached Kawhia there wore 4ft of water in the hold. Temporary repairs were effected at Knwhia. The vessel returned to Onchunga last night.
