Signor Marconi has offered the Government of India direct wireless communication between India and Great Britain and' elsewhere. He is willing either to construct a station at his own expense within a year and to conduct an efficient, commercial service, or to build a station and 1 conduct a service on joint account with the Indian Government on a similar basis to that approved by Australia, The cost of tho station is estimated at £400,000. exclusive of the patent rights.—A. and 1 N.Z.
