SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, December 21. (Received December 21, at 10.25 n.m.) Tho ninth sores of wool sales has closed. Com pa-cl with the rater or the November series fine merinos increased bom 10 to 12j prr cent., good bellies and pieces incensed from 10 to 15 per cent., stronghaired wools increased by per cent., and pure cross-bre' , s and comebacks increased by 15 per cent. BUTTER AND CHEESE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., advise having received the following cable from their head office, dated December 16; “Butter continues weak and irregular. Danish, £9 2s to £9 6s ; Australian unsalted (finest) £7 12s to £i 14s, salted £6 6s to £6 14a, secondary, £5 16a to £6 4s, inferior £4 16s to £5.10a; New Zealand finest, £7 ]oa to £7 16s. Government prices unchanged-; hut no sales are being made, owing to the present high prices compared- with free butter. Cheese, very quiet. New Zealand color, £4 10s to £4 16s, white £4 10s to £4 18s. Australian, not quoted.
