Official cables from India state that the extremists are extending their intensive campaign to Burma in preparation for the Prince’s visit. Considerable boycotting of the Loyalists has already begun. A public speaker in Mandalay applied a degrading epithet to the Prince. A boat which was feeing prepared for use as a royal barge has been destroyed and sunk. The local Government contemplates special legislation, as Burma does not possess definite associations of volunteers like those which have been proclaimed ns unlawful in the remainder of India.
