Tito large number that attended the mock banquet, arranged by Bros. A. T. MTndoo and A. V. Gain, at tho Hope of Dunedin Tent in Lower Burns Dali were delighted with tho evening's amusement. Representatives from each to n't, as well as members of the Provincial Council, accepted the invitation to be present. Bro. 0. J. Wattson occupied the chair. Bro. A. T. M'lndoe was called upon to pro-, pose the toast of "The Provincial Council.” lie spoke of the excellent work’that had been done in tho past, for which the council had secured a high reputation. In reply, Prov, C.R. Bro. A. V. Cam outlined the wo;!.; recently accomplished, and thanked the members of tho council for their loval support during his term of office. The next toast was that o!_ “ Sister TcnU,” proposed bv Bro. L. • Cain, Eli,, and to which chic! rulers briefly replied. Prov. Sec. Bro. B. Johnston proposed the toast of ‘‘The Juveniles." and in a few woll-chosen remarks eulogised the Prov. Finpt. of Juveniles, Bro. A. T. M'lndoe. Ho said that Bro. jVPTndoe was the hardest worker for Rechabitism that lie had met, and that the juvenile tents had flourished mainly through hifi efforts Last, but not least, was tho toast of “Hope of Dunedin Tent,” proposed by Prov*. D.R. Bro. 11. Sexton, and replied to by C.R. Sister Drysdale. Table games and recitations were included in tho programme. The Pride of Concord Juvenile Tent is making rapid' progress. Superintendent Bro. Ritchie has the happy knack of pleasing the young members, consequently the membership has greatly increased. At the last regular meet)’’ ■ a good entertainment was provided bv the juxonilc.s, when tho “ Primrose Shield ” was presented to tho tent by Prov. C.R. Bro. A. V. Gain. The shield, which is presented to the juvenile tent coon ring the largest number of members during th year, was held last vear bv* Rising Run lent, and two of its representatives who were present, congratulated Pride of Concord Pent on its excellent result. Prov. Supt. of Juveniles, Bro. A. T. MTr.doe, occupied the chair and gave a very pleasant and instructive address. , , , The Star of the South Tent held its fortni.chtlv meeting last Wednesday night, C.R. Sister Drysdale occupying tho chair. Bro. Hannan reported on a visit_ of the deputation to the Hope of_ Dunedin Tent in reference to the combining of the two tents' anniversaries. A further deputation was nominated to visit the florc of Dunedin at its next meeting, and to_ combine with it in an Anniversary Committee, the in cm befs chosen ho.inv Sisters Drysdale and Sexton and Bros. E. A. Harman and H. Sexton. The evening’s amusement was to" have been a lecture on _ ‘ Phrenology,’ but as the lecturer was indisposed it was postponed till some future occasion.
