(Received June 30, at 11.10 a.m.) The United Provinces Government has issued an official communique regarding the rocent incendiary forest fires in tho umaon division. It shows that 250,009 out of 400,000 acres wmv destroyed, _ The destruction is particularly serious in the resin area, the yield from which will be onlv ono-fourth of that of last year. The communioue slat os that there is ample evidence that the perpetrators were incited to incendiarism by non-co-operators as a direct challenge to the Government to relax control over the forests. —Pieuter.
