WIMBLEDON TOURNAMENT. At Wimbledon in the Allcomers’ Singles Alonzo {Spanish ehampion) beat Kingscolo (England), 6-1, 2-6, 6-2. Hunter (America) beat Campbell, 6-2, 7-5, 5-6, 6-1. Alonzo, Shimidzu (Jnpan), (Norton (present bolder of the South. African championship), awl Hunter are the semifinalists. All tho English competitors were beaten. The winner has to meet tho bolder in tiic challenge round, but at latest advice Tildcn (America) was suffering from a boil on the line';, and Ins playing is consequently doubtful. (Max Woosuam, one of representatives in tho forthcoming Davis Cup matches, is a quadruple blue. He. represented his university at tennis, running, cricket, and football. In the opening games of this year’s series England beat Spain.
