[Bee United Press Association,] WELLINGTON, Juno 25. A fine of £IOO tq-day inflicted by Mr Hunt, S.M., on Reginald John Davis on a charge of using the bar of tho Occidental Hotel as a common gaming-house. The penalty in default was fixed at throe montlis’ imprisonment. On a second charge of laying totalizator odds Davis was convicted and discharged, and a third charge of carrying on business as a bookmaker was withdrawn.
