(Received Juno 24, at 10.35 a.m.) Air Sheldon, the Australian Trade Commissioner, has returned from Washington, where ho found tho keenest interest in the Imperial Conference. Ho found tho same feeling also tluoughout the country during his recent trip along the coast. Summarising the observations ho made during his tour, Mr Sheldon states that ho found’ U.S.A. coastal business depressed owing to tho shipping situation. The outlook As dull throughout the Middle West, whore much unemployment exists, the depression being primarily due to tho railroad situation.
