The monthly meeting' of tho executive of the Overseas Club was held last night in the club rooms, Mr -T. H. Walker (chairman of committee) presiding. It was reported that .subscriptions were coming in freely and that numerous applications for membership had been received during the month. Arrangements are well in hand for tho monthly meeting of dub members, which is to ho held on. the last Wednesday of every month. It was decided that in addition to the regular address and musical items an hour and a-holf of dancing will conclude each function. It was decided to hold a meeting of ladies of the club in a few days with a view to forming a ladies’ sub-committee to work in conjunction with tho executive, and a committee was set. up for the nurpose of carrying this into effect. It was agreed to accept tho oiler of Mr De Spous? to arrange a musical recital early in August for the benefit of the club funds.
