THE CINGALEE
‘The Cingalcc ’ is the biggest production yet attempted by amateurs; in fact, it has not been produced hero hitherto bv others than professionals. Its staging has often been considered, but the piece demanded certain artists who heretofore were not available. At last it has been found possible to procure these particular player's, and as.the obstacles have been overcome, ‘The Gingales’ will bo produced at Hie Majesty’s llreatre in all its beauty and splendor, commencing Saturday, 50th inst. Ballets and dances also play a prominent part of tire production, and will be a feature. The piece abounds in comedy, and the audience will have full opportunity of indulging themselves to the limit in smiles and laughter. The chorus work is of a very high order, and the music is very catchy and tuneful, and gives the chorus full scope to show their worth. The committee has every confidence in say. ing that ‘The Cingalec’ will delight the most captious critic, and it further predicts that the public will bo treated to one or two agreeable surprises. The production, is a costly one, but the society docs not propose to charge exhorbitant prices, relying on the generous patronage of local theatregoers. The box plan will open at The Bristol on April 25.
