THE WELFARE LEAGUE.

TO THE KDITOK. Sir,—Mr H. V. Freeman’s letter in your issue of April 11 Iras just come under my notice, and I desire to give an emphatic denial to the statement made therein that the New Zealand Welfare League is the official mouthpiece of the Employers’ Association. The New Zealand Welfare League has no connection direct or indirect with any federation or association of employers or employees, nor with any political or industrial organisation. The league represents and claims to be the mouthpiece of the general public only, and there is ample evidence of the public’s appreciation of its work in tho furtherance of .their interests. —I am, etc., * A. P. Kakim'.b, ** Secretary N.Z. Welfare League. Wellington, April 15.
