EXPORT TAX DISADVANTAGES
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. PARIS, April 13. All the speakers in the Chamber of Deputies on the discussion on tho Bill providing for a 50 per cent, tax on German exports criticised tho measure, on the ground that either French business men would have to pay the tax, or, if they refused to buy German goods, they would be obliged to purchase the goods they needed from other countries whoso rate og exchange was against France—for instance, England, which would profit greatly. The speakers added that, while they intended to vote for the measure as a question of sanctions, they hoped, that the imposition would not bo necessary, in view of the measures to be taken On May I.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
