WAIRARAPA RIFLE MEETING

The concluding day of the Wairarapa meeting was held on' the Papawai Range yesterday in dull but good weather. Conditions were excellent lor shooting till well in the afternoon. Prize money was paid in full, which was the best over issued in the Dominion, the sum of £l,lOO being paid for shooting. The WairarapaMatch (ten shots at 800yds) was won by Brvden (Kaiapoi), with the “possible”; first place in the Buchanan Match (ten shots at 800yds) wont to Stark (Kaiapoi), with 49 points; and Evans (To Ku-iti) won premiership honors in the Dominio Match' (ten shots at 900yds), with 49. Following arc the prize-winners in the championship aggregate; 11. P)P cr (Christchurch), 368, £SO and Bidwill Challenge Shield and gold medal; H. W. West (Blenheim), 365, £l7 10s; E. F. Sandford (Christchurch), 365, £l7 IQs; W. K. Williams (Ohura), 364, £10; F. W. Ching (R.N.Z.A.), 361, £5; H. Glynn (Gknavy), 561., £4; A. H. Guy (Kaponga), 358, £4; H, Frank (Timaru), 358, £5; F. M‘Donald (Suburbs). 357, £3; IT. N. Keene (ALarana), 357, £3: F. J. Cansby (Thames), 356, £2: J. W. Milroy (Nelson), 556, £2 J. Feast (Greytown), 355, £2; H. M'lntosb (Blenheim), 355, £2. 'l'hc Teams’ Match was won by Christchurch No. 1. Opaki No. 2 and Suburbs No. 2 tied for second place. For the Tyro Cup H. MTntosh and J. Feast tied with 355 points. The competitors have left for Trcntham to participate in the N.Z.R.A. meeting, which begins to-morrow.
