V V\GO TT VER ANT) INTERCOLONIAL SERVICES. It, is announced that tl;e mail steamers Makura and Niagara, the intercolonial liner Maheno, and tho island steamer ‘\tna are now being recommissioned at Sydney and are about to resume their former ’ deep-water sailings. This happy state of affairs has boon brought about by the collapse of the Australian shipping trouble, and will bo welcome nows to the travelling public. The Vancouver mail service has suffered disruption for over two months, owing to the compulsory laying up of tho Niagara md Makura at Sydney. The Makura is now announced to sail from Sydney on March 3 for Auckland, and will be despatched from the Northern port on March 8 for Vancouver via ports. The Niagara will leave Sydney on March 31, and Auckland on April 5 for way ports and Vancouver. , . , , , , •, The Maheno, which has been, laid up at Sydney for some considerable time, is to leave there to-day direct for Auckland, where she should arrive on Friday. The Mooraki and Moana will sail from Sydney on March 3 for Wellington,-where tho vessels will bo due on March 7. Tho Manuka is duo at Wellington this evening from Sydney, arid it is hoped to despatch her on the return voyage later in the week.

It is expected that tho Hnddart-Parker .steamer Riverina, which has also been laid up at Sydney on account of the shipping trouble, will shortly resume her former running in tho Sydney-Auckland service; also the same company’s liner Uliraaroa in the SydneyWollington service. The Wostralia, which has been held up akAlolbourno for the past two months, will probably resume her former running shortly in the Melbourne-New Zealand service. The Atua, another of tho Union Company’s steamers hold np at Sydney, is now being recommissioned, and will leave the New South Wales port this week for Fiji.
