The Auckland Trotting Club's meeting, postponed on two occasions, commenced to-day in fine weather. The course is in good condition, and there is a large attendance. Results: Introductory Trot Handicap (harness), 250sovs. l£m.—Lady Nan (limit) 1, Appeal (limit) 2, Guava (limit) 3. Scratched: Morland and Waimairi. Won easily by six lengths. Time, 3min 50sec. December Handicap (harness), 250sovs. lira.—Phil Smith (12yds behind) 1, Gold Flake (limit) 2, March On (limit) 3. Scratched: The Pointer, Lona, Ambush, Rua Pere, Mindful. Three-quarters of a length. Time. 3min 45sec.
