Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under : SATURDAY, JANUARY 1. For Australian States (per north express), at 6 a.m. (to connect Willi the Tarawera at Wellington). Late-fee letters at guard's van at 11.15 a.m. MONDAY, JANUARY 3. For Apia and Pago Pago (per north express), at 10.15 a.m. (to connect with the Wairuna at Auckland). Late-fee letters at guard's van at_ 11.15 a.m. . For Australian States (per north express), at 10.15 ajm. (to connect with, the Waihora at Wellington). Late-fee letters at guard's van at 11.15 a.m. HOLIDAY NOTICE. SATURDAY, JANUARY 1. This office will be closed in all branches. All mails despatched on Saturdays will close at midnight on the 31st inst. A delivery of correspondence will be made by the postmen over the counter between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the 31st idem. . MONDAY, JANUARY 3. " This office will be open and all mails despatched as usual. Only one complete delivery will bo mada by postmen, commencing at 7.30 F. J. Chisholm, ■' whief. Postmaster.
