THE AUSTRALIAN STRIKE
If second thoughts are really best, And toilers give these strikes a rest; Just pause to think a little while, And do the thing in proper style. From Adam's time until to-day " A wilful man must have his way " ; When Eve was tempted. Time can tell, She yielded, and the whole world fell. Are strikes fair honest things to handle? Or is the game not worth the candle? Suppose we got what we desire, Would these same gettings gratify? No! Fellow mortal here Delow, Strive hard for peace as on you go; Nothing can ever satisfy. —J. T. Stewart.
