THE BEST OF LUCK
Catching, with a motion picture camera, a touring car as it hurtled 85ft from a bridge in the night time was the feat achieved by Director Ray C. Smallwood with the aid of six cameramen and a powerful battery of arc lights. The scene was for ’The Best of Luck,’ the Screen Classics (Inc.) picturisation of the famous Drury Lane melodrama, under his direction. ‘The Belt of Luck’ is to be shown at the Grand and Plaza to-morrow. An automobile weighing 5,0001b was employed for the scene. Before being wrecked it was used in many “shots,” and was in good running order. A. S. Be Vino wrote the continuity of ‘ The Best of Luck ’ from the original script by Cecil Raleigh, Henry Hamilton, and Arthur Collins. Kathryn Adams, Jack Holt, Lilie Leslie, and Fred Malatest-a head the all-star cast, and the entire production was made under the personal supervision of Maxwell Director-General. ; °
