A man ployed by Lebarte gave evidence that] after Mrs Lebarte was shot he saddled'a j horse, intending to fetch the police, Asi he mounted, Lebarte shot the horse dead \ and fired several shots at witness as ho 3 Tan for cover. The evidence showed that 1 Lebarte had been drinking heavily. Six- « teen bullet wounds were found in Ms wife’s j body.
