SOUTHLAND SHOW

The weather was fine at Invercargill for People’s Day of the Southland A. and P. Show, and there was a very large attendance. The Hon. W. Nosworthy, Minister of Agriculture, a guest of the association, was entertained at luncheon. The championship in horses was awarded as follows -.-—Draughts; Entire, Thomson and Co., ' Dunedin, Bucklyvie; mare, W. G. Wright, Windermere, Mona Eonald. Thoroughbreds ; Entire, J. Donovan, Makarova, Fleet-hum'; mare, J. S. Fleming, Titiroa, Pretty Jane.
