HIGH SCHOOLS’ CRICKET.

PALMERSTON NORTH, December 16. The cricket match for the Heathcote Williams shield, between Napier High School (challengers) _ and Palmerston North High School (holders), opened this morning. Napier won the toss, and to bat. The wickets fell quickly, and the side was dismissed for 47 runs in less than an hour, Hav (17 not out) being the only batsman who reached double figures. The bowling analysis is: Hairison, six for 17; Hodder, three for 23. Palmerston, in its first innings, had three wickets down for 58 at the luncheon adjournment.
