Milleiis and merchants are still working on stdpks. Potatoes.—Ufc-ro is practically no demand for old potatoes. New potatoes aro now' arriving froVn Auckland, and the public hr.ve gone off old ones. Chaff.—Wo qijiote: Prime black oats, &8; good to be=St feed. £? 10s to £7 15s • medium, light, [and discolored, £4 10s to £6 10s. ) Messrs Dalgbty and Co. report as under:— J Oats.—The iMrket has not as yet shown any signs of *tfe, and no business has eventuated. \ Potatoes.—Coiisigna:cr.ts have eased off, and the markAt is almost bare of old potatoes, which J however, have not firmed in price. New.'potatoes axe beginning to make their appearance in quantity. Chaii.^—Aiiho/cgh very little chaff is coming to .hntnd, the " market has not firmed, store sAocks being quite sufficient to copo with tile very light demand, which is practically Aonfincd to prime lots, inferior and darajlged lines being unsaleable. We quote: pjrime oaten sheaf, to £8; good to best feed, £7 10s to £7 15s; light and inferior,! from £5 10s per ton (sacks extra). /
