SCHOOLS SPORTS

Spectators at next Saturday's sports meeting at Carisbrook will have the opportunity of seeing a few strange animals during the display of recreative exercises by about 400 school boys. A " crocodile " race, followed by a centipede, obstinate mules, pitted against drivers, dogs whose collars are joined, pulling for supremacy, Japanese crabs racing, and jockeys and horses, will be seen at play, while a Chinese get-up, Siamese twins, French rest, inverted mushrooms, passing the lo;j, skinning the snake, and many others, including three or four different methods of tiig-of-wars will be shown in rapid succession. Although each "stunt" will necessarily occupy a matter of seconds, the public will be surprised to see how much activity can be crowded into the time.
