Sheep.—A good yarding of excellent quality, a total of 2,662 head being-offered tor sale. Very f ew inferior sheep were forward. There was a consistent, steady demand from the commencement to the finish of the sale. The prices realised were good, being on the average about Is per l-.oad below last week's high rates. Extra prime heavy-weight wethers realised from b3s 3d to 67s 3d; prime, 54s to 60s: medium, 44s to 525; light and unfinished sorts from 38s upwards. Extra prime heavy-weight ewe realised up to 55s 6d; prime, 43s 6d to 51s 6d; medium, 37s 6d to 425; light and aged from 25s upwards. Spring Lambs.—Twenty-one were offered for sale, a number being on the email side, and not satisfactory for killing; purposes. Competition was good, and the prices realised ranged from 26s to 40s per head. Fat Cattle.—A lar?e yarding, of medium quality, a total of 245 head being 'penned. Many of the animals offered lacked finish. At the opening of the sales biddimr was somewhat slack, which was attributable to the large supply forward. Extra prime heavyweight bullocks realised up to £34 10spnme, £24 to £3O; medium, £l9 to £23; light and unfinished sorts from £ls 10s upwards. Prime heifers realised from £l7 "los to £22: medium, £l4 10s to £l7; light and aged from £ll upwards. Store Cattle.—A fair supply was forward, which showed aai improvement on late«yardmgs. For_ all good sorts competition was ijeen at -prices well up to late rates.
