SETTLEMENT IN SIGHT.

WELLINGTON, October 13. Negotiations between Mr P. Hally and the Pukemiro representatives resulted m the miners being recommended to resume work and allow the matters at issue to be referred to the National Disputes Committee.

A circular has been sent out, at the suggestion of Mr Ma'ssey, to the unions throughout the country urging a postponement of the stop-work meetings fixed for to-day pending further discussion.
