OVERSEAS CLUB
, A reunion of members and workers of the Women's Committee of the Overseas Club (which included many associated with the committee since* their inception) took place yesterday afternoon in the club room. Musical items were rendered by Mrs A. C M'George, the Misses Balk, F. and E. M'George, and a recitation was given by Mrs C. E. Statham. During the afternoon the president of the Women's Committee (Mrs H. L. Ferguson) made a happy little speech, expiessing the pleasure she felt at seeing such a large number of members present, and referring to the work done by the various committees during her term of office. Advantage was taken of the occasion by the members to make a presentation to the women's secretary (Mrs Gibbs). The presentation, which consisted of a silver afternoon tea service and case of cake forks, was made by Mrs Ferguson, who referred to the good work done by the recipient, after which Mrs Gibbs acknowledged the gift and also the work done by those associated with her.
