A sale of hides at Christchurch yesterday attracted a fair attendance, but proceedings were lifeless, and prices fell considerably, ox hides bringing about 4d per lb, cow bides 6d, yearlings 7d to Bd, and yellow skins 12d to 14d less than at the previous sale. There were many lotj passed in.
