HOW TO PRETEXT EROSION AT ST. CLAIR.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I notice in your issue of the 22ncl April a very practical sketch plan for dealing with the erosion on the ocean front at St. Clair, given, I presume, by some practical engineer. I think this'plan should receive favorable consideration by the St. Clair Protection Committee. I, ;is an observer of the trouble, believe the solution lies in the above plan. The authorities could lift the useless groynes and make use of the piles, thus saving some of the wasted money that was spent in them.— I am, etc.. Respect for Ditnedix. A.pril 24.
