COVENANT CAMPAIGN
At the Grand Theatre Inst night Mr Booth, took as his text the seventh clause of the covenant, and said that all Christians must have a true conception of the Church, a true idea of the Church's purpose, a strong conviction of thn individual's duty towards tho Church, and how he could best help it. The one flock might be in many folds; in other words, the Church of Christ was not deposited in any single organisation.' There was nothing under the stars that Gtod valued more than tha free agencv of the individual, which must not be tied down by any human agency. Christ was always speaking in His Gospels about His Kingdom, but s|oko very seldom about the Church. The meeting wr.3 materially helped by Captain Carmicliaol, of the Salvation Army, who contributed a vocal solo. Tho subject of to-night's discourse will be " Love to God and Lovo to Man."
