Macnamara (CoalitionLiberal) ... fi^ig Miss Lawrence (Labor) 4,735 Mr \V. C. Carroll (Liberal) ... 3,386 [The General Election held in December, 1918, for the Basingstoke seat (Hampshire) resulted as follows:—Sir Auckland Geddes (Coalition-Unionists) 11,218; Mr A. Close (Labor) 6,277. The result of the North-xvest Camberwell election was as follows: —Dr Macnamara "6,986, Mr G. Radford (Independent Unionist) 3,947.] MATHEWS HELD UP. WELTEVREDEN, April 15. Captain. Mathews's Sopwith machine has broken down and has been totally dismantled. Captain Mathews still hopes to start to-morrow for Bali or Lombok (islands immediately east of Java).
