The year opened with so marked an increase in tho attendance that iho school became entitled after the first quarter to ait extra assistant.. Tho average attendance for tire year 1919 was 290, and the average roll 320. JThe roll now stands at 321—130 boys and 131 girls. Tho lunch club inaugurated at the beginning of the winter proved highly successful, and was the moans of improving the rtrominnee of children living at a distance. Thanhs to the generosity of donations of cocoa, milk, and sugar, hot cocoa wa s supplied for 106 children at (ho suinl! cost of Id per week cadi. This entailed a considerable IniriFn, which the staff cheerfully undertook. The school has hr.d a highly successful year on it? athletic Tno football team lost only one match, and they won the fivc-a&idc tournament at the school championship sports.
