Signor Longare submitted a report on the subject of the .repatriation of prisoners still in Siberia, the number of whom is estimated at between 120,000 and 200,000. The committee adopted a resolution under which Dr Nansen, the explorer, was entrusted with the task of ' investigating the manner in which the necessary credits might he secured. Meanwhile medical stores are being despatched to combat the mortality among tho prisoners. A report from the Spanish Ambassador relative to the elections in the free State of Danzig for tho formation of a Constitutional Assembly was presented. It was decided to advise the High Commissioner that' the election might be held, but this, however, is not to be regarded as furnishing a precedent for the conduct of future elections.

A report from Lord Robert Cecil on the protection and maintenance of the future State of Armenia showed that as tho League of Nations had not the necessary financial- and military resources for the purpose the Supreme Council should decide how temporary financial arrangements might be secured. The committee express the opinion that it should not be difficult, when this iij-dkeided, to find a Power* willing to accept a mandate.
