HARRIER RUNS

Ihe Dunedin Anglican Harrier and A.A. Club held their preliminary rim from l.m. St. Clair Laths on Saturday. The hares (Cuthbertson and Ritchie) ‘set out about 3.15, the Pack following about 10 inmates later, in charge of Captain iVi'Kernan and Deputy-captain Edmond, nie trail led over the lull towards the caves, then tnrongh Corstorphine, coming cTit at Allandale road, where tho pack set ojf for home. The first three men to arrive were Gale, Boddy, and Steel in that order, the rest of the men close up. The dub were then entertained at the Greencliffs Tea Rooms as the guests of the committee. The St. Patrick’s Chib hskl their openmg run on Saturday. ■ The trail led through Tomahawk on” to Halfway Rock, leading across the hills on to the high road, and returning home along the Anderson Bay road, where the pack, under Captain L. A. M'Allen, branched off. and had a good ran home. The members were entertained by the president (Mr J. J. Marlow). A very enjoyable evening ended by the captain thanking Mr Marlow for ids hospitality.

There -was a fair muster of the Methodist harriers at the St. Clair Baths on Saturday last to take part in the opening run. The route taken was over the cliffs to the caves, where a short spell wa3 made, after which a smart run, followed by a brisk sprint home. The members spent an enjoyable afternoon.
