The Corinthic is to leave Wellington tomorrow for Timarn for Homeward loading. From that port the vessel will be due back at Wellington on the 21st inst., and is to sail on the 28th for Southampton and London via Panama. The Shaw, Savill liner lonic, which sailed from Southampton on March 31 with passengers and cargo, is duo to arrive at Auckland about Mav 15, and at Dunedin about May 28. The > Monowai, arrived at Napier at 7 a.m. to-day from Auckland, and sailed this afternoon for Wellington, Lvttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel's future movements have not yet been definitely fixed. The Kowhai arrived at Grevrnouth at 7 a.m. to-day from Kaipara. She is new loading a cargo of coal for Bluff and Dunedin. The Karamii was loading coal at Greymonth to-dav for Wellington. The R.M.S. Makura loft Suva on Saturday afternoon for Honolulu and Vancouver, in continuation of her voyage from Auckland. The Flora left Rarotonga last Friday afternoon for Papeete and other places in the Cook Group to complete her loading for Auckland. The Tainui will subsequently load "at Bluff, and probably at Timaru, after which she will return to Wellington to complete loading. SLOOP TORCH SOLD. _ The sloop Torch, which lay at Wellington for a considei"able period, and was later taken to has been purchased by the Chatham Island Fishing Company to replace the' Himitangi, which was lost a couple of years' ago, in the . Chatham Island trade. The Torch is a wooden vessel of 960 tons, and when fitted up will have a cargo-carrying capacity of about 700 tons. Captain MT Holm, who is now in Sydney, will pilot the Torch across' to Wellington, where she will be refitted. FACILITIES AT TOLAGA BAY. With tho inauguration of tho Hawa Harbor Board a progressive move is about to be undertaken in the matter of harbor facilities for the Tolaga Bay district. The board have decided to obtain competent marine engineering advice with a> view to providing harbor facilities adequate to tho -district's requirements. It is proposed to erect a jetty-at y/hich. the coastal _ boats may berth, and in this connection the new board hope to lay down a complete plan of future harboP improvement, so that the work now contemplated may form an initial section which may be extended and enlarged upon a* conditions warrant the expenditure.
