The Storm has been delayed by bad weather in the north, and is not expected to arrive here until to-morrow from Timaru in consequence. She will sail on Monday for way ports and Wanganui. The Calm is to leave Wellington to-day direct for Dunedin with general cargo. Sho should arrive here on Monday, and after discharge will load for way ports and Wanganui. The Corinna left Timaru last night for Nelson and New Plymouth. '

The Maheno left Sydney at 4 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday morning.

The Te Anau is to leave the Chatham Islands to-day with a load of sheep for Lyttelton. She will afterwards come to Port Chalmers to complete her overhaul, and will subsequently load at Dunedin for Napier and Gisborne. The Kahika left Dunedin late last night with a large shipment of general cargo for Napier and Gisborne. The Kakapo is to leave Lyttelton on Monday for Wellington to complete her loading for Auckland.

The Kokiri will be despatched from I.yt toltim on Tuesday for New Plymouth/

The Kowhai will load coal' at G>eymcr.th early next week for Bluff ; ;.d Dunedin, and the Poherua will load the same commodity at Westport at the end of next week for Oamaru, Port Chalmers, and Dunedin. The Monowai is to leave Auckland today for way ports and Dunedin. She is due here about Thursday next.

Tiie Wanaka, which has hecn delayed at Lyttelton owing to bad weather, is to leave that port on Monday for Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin, and Bluff to discharge the balance of her general cargo from Auckland.

The Waipori, which had been fixed to load coal at Newcastle for New Plymouth, will not cany out that arrangement. The vessel left Auckland last evening for Westport, where she will load for Wellington.

The Kaitangata will leave Wellington about Tuesday for Westport. She will load at the West Coast port for Auckland.

It is expected that the repairs to the Maori’s boilers will bo completed towards the end of next week, in which case the vessel will leave Port Chalmers about Saturday, April 17, for Lyttelton to take up her usual running in the ferry service.

The schooner Progress was sighted by the captain of the Kotare yesterday morning about 20 miles south of Oamaru. The Progress is bound from Grcymouth to Dunedin with a cargo of timber, and is 16 days out. Should the wind be favorable. she will probably make port to-mor-row.

Tlie tTfiitod States Shipping Board’s new steamer Nokatay is due at Dunedin on Wednesday from New York via Panama and Lyttelton to discharge about 550 tons of general freight, which includes a quantity of case oil. The Nokatay is a vessel of 6.036 tons gross register, and was launched last year. From Dunedin she will go to Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, and Brisbane to complete discharge. The Trdnui, with general cargo from London, left Auckland at 7 a.m. to-day for Wellington to continue her discharge. She will afterwards visit Lyttelton and then Dunedin to put out the remainder of her freight. The Tainui should arrive hero about April 17.

The Waitemata arrived at Vancouver early on Thursday morning from Auckland. After discharge of her New Zealand cargo, she will load at Powell River and San Francisco for Auckland, Melbourne, and Sydney. NEW OIL-BURNING STEAMER. The Oscar Daniel? Company, shipbuilders at Tampa, Florida, have contracted to build for the Standard Oil Company a £450,000 oil-burning ship with Scott boilers. She will be 480 ft long and 60ft beam, with 18ft draught. She will be a tanker ox 11,000 tons deadweight. WOODARRA FROM NEW YORK. With general _ cargo, the British-India Steam Navigation Company’s steamer Woodarra, under charter to the American and Australian Line, reached port early this morning from New York via Panama and Lyttelton. She was berthed at Port Chalmers to discharge tho local portion of her freight. A twin-screw coal-burning steamer of the cruiser stern type, and of 7.946 tons gross register-cud i(J,000 deadweight, the Woodarra was built last year by Barclay, Curie, and Co., of Glasgow. She is a well-equipped and roomy vessel.

After being taken possession of by her owners in November last, she ran her trials tn the Clyde, her speed registering 16£ knots. Subsequently, she ’ proceeded to Avonmouth, where she loaded tales v tin plates, and galvanised iron, and then sailed on December 23 for New York, where her cargo, including automobiles, agricultural and other machinery wag completed. A rough passage was experienced on route to New York. The Woodarra left New York on February 29, called at Colon, and coaled at Balboa. The voyage, including a day lost ’at Balboa, where the vessel arrived on a Sunday, occupied about 52j days, her speed legistering from 12£ to 13 knots. The weather was very good, with the exception of two days when approaching the New Zealand coast. The Masula, which was at Dunedin about two weeks ago. is owned by the same company, but the Woodarra is a much larger, and, at the same, faster vessel. Each of her six holds is fitted for the accommodation of refrigerated cargo. She carries 135 of a crew, all Britishers, and including 39 cadets, the majority of whom are on their first long sea voyage. Captain F. A.
