(president of the Old Boys’ Society), From the annual report wo take the following:— At the commencement of the season hopes 'w-ere entertained that we would ba able to enter four teams in the grade competition, but towards the end of the season we had great difficulty in keeping two teams up to full strength. Injuries were responsible for defections from, our senior team, which, necessitated occasionally drawing on our second eleven. The senior eleven must be congratulated di finishing fourth in the first grade competition, only o points separating the first iqur teams. The second eleven proved adisappointment. I his team were regardful us particularly strong, as was proved bv theiy unbeaten recoid in the first round ; but in the second round a few members ol the team, evidently through lack of altered, by not playing, all-owed this record to be broken, so we had to be content with second place. The third eleven were iar worse. In the first match of tlie season half of this team turned out well, and lor the next game old bovs were not represented on the field at ail so it was decided to withdraw this team from the competition. \\ a sincerely hope that in lutiire the club will not have to do such a disheartening thing again. The recior again gave permission to use the school gymnasium for training purposes, but we regret to say that tins kind offer was not taken advantage of, and the committee hope that members will in future do thenutmost to attend on the set trainin'* M-'M The finances of the club are in a- lair condition, the balance-sheet sliowim* a credit cl £4 Is lOd. r
