EASTER STEAMERS
SPECIAL PASSENGER SERVICE. WELLINGTON-LYTTELTON RUN. For the convenience of travellers during the Eaater holidays the Union Company have arranged a special passenger service between Wellington and Lyttelton, Owin'! to the Mokoia having been delayed at Auckland by bad weather last week-end that vessel’s itine>a?y has been som-e-wbat-altered. The vessel is due at Wellington to-morrow, and will leave there on the ferry run on Saturday, arriving at Lyttelton on Sunday. She will i-ot come to Dunedin this trip, but will leave Lyttelton on Easter Monday night for Wellington, and from the latter port will subsequently proceed to way ports and Auckland. The Manuka will leave Wellington this afternoon, and is due at Lyttelton tomorrow morning, and will sail after the arrival of a special train leaving Christchurch at 7.45 a.tn.. and will make a daylight trip to Wellington. The Manuka is at present timed to leave Wellington late on Friday night for Sydney and Hobart. The two ferry steamers Wahine and Mararoa will run to their usual time-table. Next week the Moeraki will also make a trip between Wellington and Lyttelton to cope with the extra traffic. _ln the cross-Strait (Wellington-Picton-Nelson service)' the Pateena will b© assisted by the Majvmrika, which has been withdrawn from the cargo run to New Plymouth.
