Tire dockers’ Court of Inquiry recommend a minimum of 15s per day for all workers. They also recommend that a central fund be established to enable the industry to make provision for unemployment. The award thus concedes the workers’ demands. TRAMWAYMEN GAIN INCREASE. LONDON, March 50. The tramwaymen’s leaders have accented the employers’ new offer of 5s 6d per week increase in wages. , BUSMEN REJECT OFFER. LONDON, March SC. The Industrial Council failed to solve the trambus dispute, the men rejecting the offer of a 4s weekly increase. The ministry of-Labor has now intervened. MINERS’ STRIKE BALLOT. LONDON, March 51. Mr^ Hodges advises the miners to accept the Government’s offer. There is a general feeling that there is now little likelihood of the Miners’ Federation gaining a two-thirds majority necessary for a strike. It is expected that South Wales and Scotland will favor strike, but that the Midlands will strongly oppose.
