and Kaikorai Tram Company, which will be presented at the annual meeting of shareholders •to morrow night, states: The traffic receipts totalled £10,072 7s 7d for tho year, the highest yet attained. The expend!Vre is still rfn the up grade, and with the general upheaval in industrial circles being far from settled, has not reached the limit. The cars ran 32,179 trips, covering 72,402 miles, carrying 759,313 up passengers and 514,458 down passengers. The directors declared an interim dividend at the rate of 7 per cent, per annum for the half-year ended 51st July, 1919, and recommend a further dividend at the rate of 7 per cent, for the half-year ended 31st January, 1920. They also recommend that the sum of £509 be transferred from profit and loss account to reserve account, which will then stand at £6,500. Alessrs H. V. Haddock and Wm. Dawson retire from the board by rotation, and Alessrs Barr, Leary, and Co. retire as auditors. All are eligible, and offer themselves for re-election.
