Sinn Femers who embarked on destroyers have been sent to gaol in Belfast. * Another mysterious shooting affair is reported to have taken place in the centre of Dublin yesterday evening. Three men -.vaited' for an unknown man, aged 25. While two of them held off the crowd Ujj third thrust a. revolver into .the man's fac» and fired. The man fell, and the assas«!a fired two more bullets into the body lying on the ground. The three conspirators escaped amid the panic which ensued among trie onlookers. It is suspected that it- was a case of executing a police spy, similar to the deaths of Quinlish at Cork and Byrne at Dublin. It is believed that Sinn Feiners discovered what the youth was doing and decreed his execution.' A3 they were unaule to tempt him to'a &emirural spot they shot him .in davlight in. a crowded street. A large party desperately attacked and overwhelmed the police barracks at Gortatlea. Three of the police were seriously injured. The raiders blew up the barracks, which were burnt to the ground. The telegraph lines were cut throughout Coufity Kerry. A similar attack was made on the same barracks a year ago, when two policemen were killed. Reuter's Telegrams. , „ ~ March 26. LONDON, March 25. -the 'Evening Standard' states in connection -with the Edwards question that a foreign ship was detained in a northern port. Suspicions were aroused when she entered the Thames and departed suddenly without discharging her cargo of lager beer from Germany. The Customs ofhcers, acting on information received, made - thorough search, and found that the lower tiers of barrels contained German machine guns, rifles, and ammunition. The captain, who was unable to give a satisfactory explanation, was detained and brought to London for further inquiiies. Another foreign captain was detained under suspicion. It is believed that the shipments were directly arranged with lh« complicity of the Sinn Fein leaders. SINN FEINERS ARRESTED. "LONDON, March 26. Thirty-five prominent Sinn Feiners were arrested at to-day's round-up in Dublin. GINNELL ARRESTED. LONDON, March 27. Mr Ginnell, the Sinn Fein M.P., has been arrested. [Mr Ginnell lias several times been suspended for his-conduct at Westminster.] THE LATEST MURDER. SINN FKIN EXPLANATION. LONDON, March 27. Recent Sinn Fein propaganda describes the lata Mr Allan Bell, who was assassinated, as acting in the English Secret Service for 40 years. He had always been in the closest touch with Dublin Castle. Mr .13*11 had a loaded revolver., but the murderers, who were sitting beside him, acted so quickly that he had not time to draw it. Another accomplice pulled the trolly pole from the overhead wire, thus stopping the tram.
