She returned to Port Chalmers to land the. stores for transference to Cape Saunders via Portobello. The Union Company advise that the Mokoia, which will assist in the ferry service for two trips next week, will leave Wellington on April 8 for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland, thus taking up her former running in the East Coast passenger and oargo service. THE FERRY" SERVICE. The Mararoa arrived at Lyttelton at 11.40 a.m.; her mails and passengers -connected with the second express. KATTBI BRINGS WHEAT. Deeply laden with a full cargo of -wheat, the 8.8. Kauri arrived in th« Lower Harbor at 12.30 p.m, to-day from Geelong, and anohored to undergo medical inspection. The vessel will come np to Dunedin this evening or to-morrow morning and berth at the ilattray street wharf to discharge the local, portion of her 'cargo, proceeding afterwards to Timaru.
