ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS
On the Caledonian Ground to-morrow .•nternoon the Otago Centre, IST.Z AAA will decide the provincial championships! which owing to the war, have not been nekl for the past five years. Large entries have been received, and it is now assured that all events will be keenly contested J lie runners, who have been in" training for some time past, have been registering good performances, and they will compete in the various events on the lengthy programme. The competition for the List championship banner is creating .keen interest amongst the various clubs. Intending patrons are guaranteed a first-class programme- of (sport. The Band of the 4th (Utn.go) Regiment will be in attendance. Mr A. W. Mercer lias declared the following handicaps for the handicap races—3oo Yards: E. S. Gale scr, W. Grey 4yds J. Harrison 4yds. E.
