DUN EDO BAND CONTEST
This contest is causing a vast amount of interest, and will be the biggest content yet held in tho Dominion. All the leadin bands axe competing, and a close competition in both the A and B grades is expected. The B grade test selections will be held in His Majesty's Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and the A grade on Thursday and Friday evenings, On Wednesday afternoon, March 3, thejpipo band contest will take place on the Caledonian Grounds. Thia should prove a great attraction to lovers of pipe music, while tho pipers -will present a bright spectacle in their gay uniforms. The military display and quick-step will be held on the Caledonian Grounds on Saturday aftoraftn, March. 6. Twenty-eight bands have entered for this contest. The marching display should be well worth witnessing, and some first-class playing will be heard. On Saturday evening the final demonstration will be held in His Majesty's Theatre, when an attractive programme will be arranged. ' Season tickets are now obtainable at Messrs C. Begs and Co, and The Bristol.
