Although the above, carnival has now entered on its third week, the enthusiasm and attendance show n.j ' si =n of abatement. Last evenings programme included a number or new items, of which the Kussnm dance by Miss Lily Stevens was a hue example 0 f the terpsicWe.in nrt. The dance ot Spring by Miss Linda M'Donald was _ a dance of joy. the dancer etching the spirit of spring. An operatic dance evoked round after round of applause. The Polka Yiolette. bv Misses li'/s Griffiths and Lily Stevens, was a fine example of graceful movement, and Miss It wen Webster again scored in the Dance Gracieuse. 'lhe interest in Miss Lily Stevens and her 24 Dutellies is as great as on their initial appearance. The Circus Quartet put on some new Limericks and local hits, having to accept a double eacore. It has been decided to run a tug-of-war in connection with the carnival, one grade, seven a side, the pull to ba for five minutes. Entries close at 5 o'clock to-morrow, and the first round will be pulled the same night. .riie position of queen now is: Miss J'-rennan. refreshment stall. 1; Miss Noonan, Children of Marv, 'South Duuodm. 2; Miss Hart, Old Bovs, 5; Miss Marlow.
