| At the annual meeting in Wellington | yesterday. Sir G. Fenwick presiding, a number of new member? were evicted, and it was decided to increase the number of the com:nlttoe to nine. Th foilowing were chosen:—?dcss-rs Morion. Cocrnbo, "Brett. M'Nicol, L. Blundell. Xelig. C Earle, W. Weston, and the .Hon. I!. Jones. A vote of condolence w;>.s passed regarding the d"ath of Mr Marion, general secretary of tho union. The Chairman said ho thought the time had eomo when oversea- branches should have more freedom of action, and on las motion it was decided that the committee should go over the mles of the union with a view to their amendment in the direction of granting oversea branches such powers a- may be considered desirable.
