LONDON, February 15. At the wool sales a poor selection of merinos was offered, but prices remained unchanged. Continental buyers operated freely for cross-breds, prices for which slightly advanced. Of New Zealand clips sold C.F.M. (Pa-eora) realised 56d top price and 56d average. In the Bradford tops market small bnsiis doing, but prices are firm. Waihi Grand Junctions, buyers 11s 3d, sellers 12s 6d. The exchange rates at London are : On Paris, 48.52fr; Stockholm, 18.25kr; Christiania, 19.55kr: Calcutta (rupee), 53d; Montreal, sdo! 95c; New York, 3dol 30c. D.I C. An exchange of recent date states that a big drapery deal has taken place in Wellington recently, the D.I.C. having bought out George and Kersley, Ltd., the price paid being, it is believed, somewhere near £150,000. Petrol prices remain unchanged, states a New York cable dated February 14.
