AT HOLY CROSS COLLEGE, MOSGIKL The above function eventuated on Sat-m-ciav afternoon ]a*fc, and was an omijualified success., both as regards the attendance and the financial result. Th= promotes wero fortunate as regards the weathe) A notable feature w.ts the fact in at the college and grounds weie thrown open to the public, the majority of whom availed themselves of the opportunity to view the. beautiful chapel, paintings,'etc. Both the Mofgiel Brass Band and the laieri Pipe Baud were in attendance, and rendered, much appreciated programmes. At tiie commencement of the proceedings the produce stall may be said to have been filled to overflowing, but long before the garaen party concluded every article had been disposed of, showing the shortage that exists of vegetables, etc. Numerous competitions were carried out, including shooting, chain-stepping', weight-guess-ing, lMrne-yiKsjing, peas in. a bottle-, ind in this manner a large number of the articles were disposed of.
