THE PAID ORGANISER OF THE PROHIBITION PARTY (£600) (Rev. R. S. GRAY) WANTS TO BET (£500). It is a fact wall known that in connection with the Referendum held on Aroril 10th last THE PROHIBITION PARTY STILL OWE THE ANGLICAN CATHEDRAL BUILDING FUND, £IOO (One Hundred Pounds) £IOO. They said that cables published from America in the 'Evening Star* in connection with the vote in Chicago were " fakes." *■* The 'Evening Star' proved the cables were correct and true in ev*ry particular. THEY LOST; THE £IOO HAS NOT BEEN PAID. When Rev. R. S. Gray or his Local Punters pay up we will then talk business. "Once bitten, twice shy." We will, however, give the sum of £SOO if the Rev. R. S. Gray can prove that any such advertisement as he refers to was published by ther Otago Provincial Council in Otago. (Signed) ARTHUR A. PAAPE.
