FIRES
The City Fire Brigade received a call At 10.47 this morning to a six-ionmcd house, 323 Casks stieet, owned and occupied by Mr J. Gard.ner. The painter* had been burning off the paint, and ihe building had caught iire underneath. T.ie damage was slight, the brigade quickly extinguishing the outbreak. The hou_o is insured with tho New Zealand Insurance Office, for £4OO. and the furniture with the Alias Ofrice for JB2OO.
